About the show

If you’re the adult daughter of a narcissistic, emotionally immature, or emotionally abusive mother, you know the guilt, self-doubt, overfunctioning, and profound impact of your mother wound. I’m Heather Gray, a licensed therapist. On Mother Mayhem, we make sense of childhood trauma and emotional neglect, how they shape your nervous system, your relationship with yourself and others, and why those patterns can follow you into adult life. We talk about narcissistic abuse, boundaries, estrangement, self-trust, and healing. Start with the first 8 episodes. Other daughters are here. I am, too.
