Pod is Life

Pod is Life is a daily guide to the podcasts people are actually listening to. Every podcast app publishes its own chart, and they rarely agree. We read the charts from Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Pocket Casts every day, match each show across platforms, and combine them into one ranking for every genre.

On top of the data, our editors publish a Top 10 of the month and occasionally feature shows we think deserve a bigger audience. Featured placements are always labeled and never change a show's chart position.

Where the data comes from

Chart positions come from the public charts published by Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Pocket Casts for the United States. Government and Kids & Family rankings use Apple Podcasts and Pocket Casts, since Spotify does not publish charts in those genres. Show details such as artwork, descriptions and episode lists come from the podcasts' own public feeds and Apple's directory. Read how the combined ranking works.

Independent

Pod is Life is not affiliated with Apple, Spotify, Pocket Casts, Podcast Addict, Overcast or Patreon. Podcast names, artwork and descriptions belong to their creators. If you're a podcaster and something about your show looks wrong, get in touch and we'll fix it.
