About the show

Welcome to The Other Ireland. This is not just a podcast. It is an independent project building an audio archive of Irish stories, memories and traditions. Here, I record and share the folklore, local legends, customs and traditions, superstitions, supernatural encounters and everyday memories that have been passed down through generations. Some stories are strange. Some are supernatural. Others are simply memories of how people lived, what they believed, and the traditions they inherited. The aim is simple: to record these voices and stories before they are lost. I work on The Other Ireland independently and voluntarily in my spare time, with the long-term aim of recording stories and memories from communities and people across Ireland.
