About the show

I’m Roland Smith and I am interested in the UK culture wars that started in 2016 - the year of the Brexit referendum. I’m specifically interested in what historic, political and cultural factors are driving it and how politics is developing as a result. Setting aside all the noise, I ultimately hope to look for whether the warring sides can find any common ground between their differing ‘truths’ - those elusive 'soft landing' zones - something we singularly failed to achieve on Brexit. https://rolandmcs.substack.com/
