About the show

Right Now is a podcast about education, wellbeing and the challenges and opportunities shaping education today. Hosted by Anita McCurdie, a teacher of almost two decades and a parent of 3, it brings together educators, researchers and people with different perspectives on education to explore what is making education harder, what is helping and where we should be placing our attention. In a time of increasing complexity for schools, classrooms and young people, these are honest and thoughtful conversations about teaching, learning, wellbeing and the conditions that support students, educators and families. Because if we want education to be different, we need to ask a bigger question: What does education need from us right now?
