About the show

The Vienna Global Forum brings together voices from academia, policymaking and civil society from around the world to foster a transdisciplinary dialogue on the future of global cooperation. It seeks to contribute to a progressive and inclusive vision of global cooperation for the 21st century - one capable of countering current trends toward nationalist fragmentation and geopolitical rivalry. This first podcast series focuses on the New International Economic Order, its historical origins, goals, achievements as well as shortcomings, and the lessons that it offers for contemporary debates. The Vienna Global Forum is the result of a close collaboration between ÖFSE (Austrian Foundation for Development Research), the International Political Economy Research Group at King’s College London and the Helsinki Centre for Global Political Economy.
