There are deep and intentionally designed forces of colonial subjugation that plague our world. In many places in the world, these are upheld materially. But in many corners of the ‘developed’ West, they are enforced through energetic systems of control. We become what we believe, and we were conditioned to believe we were inferior, destined to devote our energies to systems that suppress us and our communities. But while our parents struggled to survive and gifted us a deeper sense of convenience and comfort than they knew, we abandoned the struggle for dignity believing it to have already been earned. They told us we were successful. Yet as we drained away at our desks, doom-scrolled through climate collapse and performed a version of success we never truly desired, something sparked a remembrance of a truth that there was another way. When we return to the spiritual power colonialism so intentionally severed us from, we come into lineages of guidance that are so many generations deep. We reconnect to our birthright of collective abundance, the richness of the earth and its beauty, and the clear work that is being asked of us. Which doesn’t feel like capitalist contortion and contraction, but like breathing the breath of life back into the world. We build liberated lives we’re in love with from the heart of our soul gifts. We no longer fear luxury or believe it is not ours. We do not hold money at arm’s length as the tool that destroyed us, we rise to create it, to steal it back, to pour everything we have access to as insiders, natives, trojan horses away from the extractive world’s evil plans and into the good, the light, the necessary. With rage on our tongues, and pleasure at our lips, and feeling in our fingers and our toes - our lives become our prayer. And as we give thanks to all who made our lives possible, we dedicate our own to the survival of our species, to the love consciousness we know can emerge for those children, and projects, and plants, and places we give life to. We are radical hotties, full in our magnetism, and our creative power. This podcast is my offering to every radical hottie who is choosing revolution over resignation.
