The Houston Astros are your 2017 World Series Champions! Following a back and forth series the Astros won game 7 in convincing fashion 5-1. The highest of highs lead to the lowest of lows for Houston sports fans however as Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson tore his ACL just two days after the Astros win. Apparently no one plays defense in college football anymore as Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State 62-52, Notre Dame beat Wake Forest 48-37, Iowa beat Ohio State 55-24, USC beat Arizona 49-35, and Auburn beat Texas A&M 42-27. All 5 of those marquee games didn’t just beat the over/under lines – they destroyed them. In the NBA teams everybody thought were good are struggling out of the gate and bad teams have started off hot because nothing makes sense anymore. With all that in mind lets recap the last week in sports:

The Good: Manu Ginobili

Manu Ginobili celebrated a major milestone this week. The Argentina NBA staple has continued to contribute meaningful minutes for the San Antonio Spurs throughout his late 30s and even this season as a 40 year old. Manu played in his 1,000 NBA game this week and celebrated the only way he knows how – with his patented eurostep finish:

Bonus Good: Philadelphia Eagles ran out of fireworks because they scored too much

The Bad: Big Ten Football

Last weekend undefeated #2 Penn State came into Columbus to play #6 Ohio State in what had a playoff game feel to it. The winner would control their own destiny and likely receive a bid to the College Football Playoff. The game itself even lived up to all the hype with an Ohio State come from behind victory beating Penn State 39-38. One week later and Ohio State loses 55-24 to Iowa, and Penn State loses to Michigan State on a last second field goal. For a conference that started off the year with 4 teams ranked in the top 11, the Big Ten now only has a 22% chance to send a team to the College Football Player. That team is also likely Wisconsin who has had a cakewalk of a season thus far. Life comes at you fast Big Ten fans.

Bonus Bad: Cleveland Browns ruin trade by not filing paperwork in time

AJ Green Fight

The Ugly: NFL Bad Boys

Some of the biggest highlights coming from this weekend’s slate of NFL games are plays that occurred after, not between, the whistles. Bengals star wideout AJ Green and Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey both were ejected following their fight:

And Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers started a full scale fight on the sideliens with his cheap shot on Saints Marshon Lattimore:
